Palomino Islands and Fortaleza del Real Felipe (Real Felipe Fortress)

Lima was the center of the Peruvian viceroyalty and was very coveted by the pirates and corsairs that arrived at our Pacific Coasts. The access point was the Callao port, where the Fortaleza del Real Felipe was built since 1747 to defend the city of Lima. The San Lorenzo, El Frontón and Palomino islands are located in front of the coast. The latter is characterized for its large population of sea lions, Humboldt penguins and wide variety of birds. Here you may have the opportunity to swim with the sea lions which are very curious and will approach the vessel. We would also appreciate the remains of the former El Frontón prison, used for political prisoners several years ago.

When we arrive to the port we will continue with the visit of the Real Felipe Castle, then we will go to a restaurant of traditional food based on fish and seafood, returning to the hotel at the scheduled time.
